Very thought provoking indeed. All of you must read another important article by RK Narayan that has been doig the rounds since 1999. Frankly, i think if we knew the answers to the questions posed by Dr. kalam and RkNarayan, we will be somewhere else (engiyo poi iruppom).
But can we do something , in some small way – adopt a tiny village or pick up a cause . I am sure it will be worth the effort – if we persevere with it long enough. Hopefully it will provide the satisfaction, we seem to miss . Any ideas ??
One of the causes that I am involved in a very minor way is the “Sankara Eye Foundation” – http://giftofvision.org/. I have recently been successful in adding SEF to IBM’s Employee Charitable Contribution list. Employees can now contribute to this charity directly through payroll deduction. Some companies match the contribution. It will be good if you can do the same wth your company, if it already is not in the list.
BTW, SEF is in MS, Cisco and Oracle’s charitable contributin list already!
Please take a look at SEF and help in whatever way you can.

i am happy to contribute to any worthwhile cause. Adopting a village sounds good. Folks, could you please post any thoughts you have on this.
